This year’s Climathon is taking place on October 25 th 2019. The event is happening simultaneously in more than 100 cities around the world. Climathon is a 24 hours hackathon aimed at generating innovative solutions for the toughest climate challenges that face the globe
nowadays.
Impact Hub Khartoum is collaborating with Climate-KIC for the second year on a row to be part of the Climathon global movement by organizing and hosting the events of the second edition of “Climathon in Khartoum”.
This year’s challenge is “Extreme weather events; represented in high temperature, heavy rains and flash floods and desertification and dust storms”. The Climathon will kick off its series of events with two public symposiums on Climate Change Impacts and Climate Change and Peace,
held at the University of Khartoum and Nadi Al-Safiya respectively.
